Pathways to Net Zero: Local Actions

Denny Manchee (moderator) brings 40 years of journalistic experience as well as a passion for the environment. A CBC Radio host/producer, she transitioned to magazines and the non-profit sector, holding senior staff positions at Cottage Life, Today’s Parent and Evergreen.

Craig Ballard (panelist) Craig is the CEO of Elexicon Group - a company devoted to helping private and public organizations across Canada significantly improve sustainability and reduce energy consumption in their facilities.

Judy Smith (panelist) spent her career in environmental work, and is a Board member of Sustainable Cobourg, active in Blue dot and in the Northumberland Electric Vehicle Society. She was the first Environmental Officer for Northumberland County. She consults on what governments should do to reduce climate impact while protecting industries and workers.

Steve Lapp (panelist) has designed, built, researched and taught renewable energy systems, technology and policy since 1982.
