The Art Gallery of Northumberland is thrilled to partner with Northumberland Learning Connection to present an exhibition focussing on Newfoundland & Labrador. Selected works form the AGN’s Permanent Collection are accompanied by works from private collections. Hanging Out Down East: Newfoundland & Labrador features works by well-known Canadian artists including Ann Meredith Barry, David Blackwood, Ron Bolt, Frank Lapointe, Tessa May, Christopher Pratt and Mary Pratt.

The small harbor of Tickle Cove is in dire need of a doctor so that the town can land a contract to secure a factory which will save the town from financial ruin. Village resident Murray French (Gleeson) leads the search, and when he finds Dr. Paul Lewis (Kitsch) he employs - along with the whole town - tactics to seduce the doctor to stay permanently.
